Saw this place recommended on a few "best NYC burger" lists. Definitely lived up to the hype. Hearty, uncomplicated cheeseburger that was juicy and reasonably priced. Modest but solid list of beers on tap, most for less than $6 each. The atmosphere was welcoming and the bartender was really nice. Cool place.

Really horrible experience. Started out fun but the bartender-a tall pretentious man ruined it. I ordered a cheeseburger medium, they messed up the temperature as rare then seemed like purposely cooked it well done. I’m not into spiteful service so hopefully the owner sees this.

My favorite burger in NYC. Get the Corner Bistro Burger (cheese and bacon). Fries are not great. They have outdoor seating during Covid.

Great, affordable spot! We went on a Saturday and had to wait quite awhile for a table, but the food was definitely worth the wait. 👌

This is A classic NYC spot. One of the best burgers in town, hands down. Served on a paper plate. Ideal with a good beer or soft drink. Ig youre in the west village, visit this Tavern style cafe. Worth the stop!

This is a real bar nothing fancy but the cheap beer is not the star......It's the burgers when I have out of town or country visitors I being them here or tell them to go, so far none of them have disagreed with me about the burgers they are the best, just order the bistro burger and enjoy.Update 7th May 2017, food is great as every but service was worst than McDonald's , server should not be public facing.Update May 2019 service has really gone down hill especially at the Bar I used to give them 5 🌟 and bring out of town folks not any more

Hands down the best burger in the city. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I’ve tried to find something better but nothing is quite like this. It’s perfect because it’s simple. There’s nothing fussy about it. Sometimes it’s so good you finish it and look at your friends and say, “should we split the next one or get our own?” I’ve done both.

Hamburgers are ubiquitous in NYC, but they are not identical. The style of restaurant is conventional but appealing to customers. I tried bacon cheese hamburger and fries. It is superb in my opinion due to crispy and non-greasy baked bacon and succulent beef patty. They are well combined like an ambrosia. However, a star deducted comes from fries which are too crispy and lack of alternative methods of payment. Only cash is accepted.

The service is not bad and neither is the burger but I wouldn't say it's the best burger in New York either. Its a little pricey and it's cash only.

Great find after we walked the High Line. Sat at the bar and played cards and drank nice IPA (Flower Power 7.5%). We'd eaten a little earlier but the burgers that were coming from the kitchen look AMAZING. Friendly staff and nice bar to chill and relax.

For me...one of the best hamburger in the City! Juicy burger, perfect fries, nice vibe, in the center of Chelsea...and it's more than affordable! What do you want more?!

Great local bar with a simple but great menu. Yes, I know there are others, but it has that one off feel.

I had a really great burger, fries, and draft cider one afternoon at a weird time of day for a meal so the place was pretty empty! I had fast and attentive service, they remembered my special requests, and every time I'm in the neighborhood I want to go back! They don't have a gluten-free bun option and I'm not sensitive enough to ask about the fryer, but the burger was definitely 100% beef with no fillers. And they were happy to give me a fork and knife to eat my bun-less burger!

Perfect place to refresh and get some food while shopping in the west village.

Used to come here for the burgers way back when so decided to see if they still were as good as I remembered and they most definitely were. A nice big slab of meat cooked nice and greasy with bacon pared with a beer and/or a bloody mary is in my opinion the best for a Sunday brunch and this is a great place to go if you want that. My only complaint is to have a slighter larger bun to contain that big patty a little better but other than that, a pretty good burger joint.

Service is great! Came in to watch a game & you befriend the staff & other customers quick! The food came out quick. Their jumbo wings are my favorite dish!

This little bar with about 10 tables pumps out a great burger and fries. The bacon cheeseburger is delicious burger that is a hearty size. The fries are just the right amount of crispy. The food comes out very quickly and the service is attentive. $49.75 for two bacon cheeseburgers, two fries, and 3 beers.

Awesome every time my girlfriend and I visit. if you go here expecting a diverse menu with a ton of options along with fancy cocktails you'll be disappointed. Go here when you want an awesome burger + fries, with drinks that aren't any of that snooty nonsense that requires a four year mixology degree. Seriously though, the burgers are awesome. And at their prices I feel like they can't be beat. Take a date here and you can get burgers, a couple orders of fries, and 3 drinks each for $100 including a 20%+ tip. Have already been here a few times and will continue to go back for more.

I've never eaten here in person (only gotten takeout) but this place might just have the BEST spicy fried chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. It's Nashville style! I've had their food multiple times and it's always good. Piping hot crunchy spicy chicken with equally hot crunchy tater tots. My mouth is watering just writing this. On top of that they are pretty eco friendly with their packaging (paper bag, paper boxes, aluminum foil, etc) Come back soon.

We went here with a Time Out New York Burger Box card to try out the burger. We ordered 2 bistro burgers, one medium the other well done. The burgers were great, tasty, and came out fast. The fries were well made as well. Prices are very reasonable for the location. We sampled a few beers on the menu, also great. The 4 star rating is for the service. It's a very fast turnover restaurant and therefore the service reflected that. We were not rushed but the wait staff seemed overwhelmed and in a rush, thereby limiting attention to each table. Please keep in mind this is a CASH ONLY place but they do have an ATM inside, which is convenient. Overall the atmosphere was nice and would definitely go back for more!

Best burgers in town!! Homemade deliciousness at a decent price. Great place for a burget and pint. There isn't a huge amount on the menu which makes a nice change. They stick to what they know and do it darn well!

The bistro burger bangs. Really awesome local spot in a great part of town. There can be a wait to sit down and eat as it’s not very big so try and get here on a week night. It’s a city classic for a reason!

Came on Saturday around 3:30 PM. It was very empty. Ordered tater tots (~4) and the bistro burger (12.75). Server was nice, but not as attentive.Burger will get you from hungry to satisfied, but not full for one person. I ordered the burger medium rare, but it came out still cold towards the middle. I brought it up to the waiter and they deconstructed the burger, cooked the same patty, and put it back together.It was cooked all the way through this time. The burger wasn't bad; it tastes like a homemade burger or a burger you get at the corner deli.

Still the great burger you've come to expect, and for now a whole new experience having it outside on a beautiful corner of the West Village. Diligent with keeping things clean and safe, tables well-distanced.

There are so many burgers to be had in the city, but very few are this good AND reasonably priced. The burger at Corner Bistro is classic and satisfying - perfect alongside a dark beer. No frills, but exactly what you're looking for if you're pining for a burger. Also recommend getting an order of fries to share - pretty large portion and they don't skimp on the burger so it'll be plenty of food. It was relatively easy to get a table to sit at for dining between major mealtimes, even on a busy holiday weekend. Maybe expect a few minutes wait for a seat, or order at the bar.

I met a smoking hot tinder date here last week and it was an epic time. We had the cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, onion and cheddar cheese. My date ordered the French fries and I ordered the bowl of chili as a side. The menu is small and easy, they have beer and liquor up at the bar as well. We ate out meals with pleasure and the burgers were prepared simple but amazing. The place was packed and we had a good time, and more. We will be definitely back for another date, next time I will try the cheddar bacon burger and the fries. Five stars

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger is thick, but it's flavor was just OK. The waiter was absolutely not friendly... There are many other places with amazing waiters and tasty burgers...

The bistro burger is to die for and it's their signature. Spot is warm and cozy although they have tables in the rear. It has been around for over 20 years now and is the same as it was when they opened with the original owner 20+ years ago. Place has a great theme. Simple + good burgers = a great time.

A nice spot. I came here to re-try their burger as the first time years ago was tasty. The hamburger is still tasty and juicy. If I’m in the area, I would come back for the burger.

If I could leave this place 0 stars i would. They recently reopened after the pandemic with anything but a smile or courteous attitude. Rude, aggressive and unkind this place is elitist and discriminatory. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME / MONEY - DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible and rude service, answering back and treating us with no care or interest.

Overrated. I was excited for a medium burger. I got a medium rare burger, but damn was this thing disappointing. Zero seasoning, cramped and just not worth the wait, not the money spent.

Ok, so this is a tricky review. But I'm going to be fair, 5 stars go to the place and service. Beautiful corner bar, got there by 3pm , sat at the bar a got a beer within seconds. Ordered one of their famous burgers, got it after no more than 10 minutes. Now here's the thing. Burger was well served, well cooked but not to my taste. The beef was very dry, so dry that I had to out ketchup on it, btw temperature was medium rare, that being said I'm not happy with that particular meal, but I think overall the place deserve 5 star. Bartender was on point, very friendly. I will defenitly go back and give that burger another chance.
